Alexander Ellis in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #27
A favourite obscure hero of mine, Annex! A former soldier and later an activist for disabled soldiers after losing his own leg, Alex Ellis was offered a “gift” of taking part in a bio-mechanic experiment called Annex, inspired by the Venom symbiote. The experiment was supposed to be a revenge trap by Abner Dunson, who blamed Alex for not doing his best to save his son, and turned Alex into a monster. Spider-Man managed to save Alex, and helped turn the Annex experiment into something more manageable. Alex now works as a hero-for-hire.
So much of his origin has delicious panels of him in just his briefs, I'm glad he has a preference. Mostly black, but there's one in the med-bay of his cute tighty whities.
